I had a 1986 K5 in 1994 , and it didn't look that good .wasn't a diesel , 305CI slug (changed to a mildly built 350 after 2 weeks).
Mine had fresh paint and looked sharp , but was rusty from the inside out.
I saw the D-rings on the rear bumper ,my bumper would have twisted under that wieght.
By the time I took it to the crusher , it had about a dozen cans of tripple expanding foam in the rockers , fenders ,botom of the B pillars , A pillars , inner fenders , and the tail gate had a make over with a piece of 3/8 C-channel welded to the frame
because the bodymounts fell out one day. I mean the whbole mount, bolt, washers
, rubbers , laying on the ground.
I loved that truck :-(
It's a CUCV, so those are recovery points attached directly to the frame.
