Coolant reservoir broke

Anyone know of a good replacement tank that isn't too hard to mount on these. I have been looking at the Dorman but they don't go back to 86 on the trucks.

Went to Autozone and got a universal bottle. $11. Should fit where the other one is. Just need to remove the old and mount this one on the inside metal.

I got one from a dealer in Ohio last october, shipped...$25. I know he had a few more. My local dealer said it was NLA, but was able to print me a search for dealers that still had them in stock.

Got the $11 bottle installed now and went for a test run of about 38 miles. Sits right at 190 Temp. I would be interested in dealers that do have them though. I would put a OE back in if I found one.

Check online with LMC Truck, they have lots of stuff for the '80's models.

A wreckers should have dozens. I can't see any difference between it and any other chevy/gmc model

No matter what Dieselplace may say, I am not a diesel technician, nor expert or specialist. Just a cheap guy with old truck that needs to run

I checked on LMC and sure enough they carry them. I will leave the one in I just bought but after about a year I think I will go for the OE.
