What exactly is the difference between high and elevated idle? Is the high idle one that can be set regardless of ambient temperatures where you are able to set the actual idle speed, as opposed to the elevated idle that you turn on via the DIC and only works under certain ambient and engine temps?

Yes, high idle is set by you using the cruise control. It is generaly used for PTO use.

I just got off the phone with my dealer and i am taking my truck in the morning and having this done it will take proximity 2 hours and will cost me about $175 thank you for the information it is what made it possible.

I would like that update but I would not want my tunes from Nick/Bob Duramax tuner to be messed up plus I don't trust the stealership here.

High idle option not available on the 2007.5 LMM only 2008 LMM and up. Also can be done on 2007 LBZ and down but just not seen it possible to be done on this little short season run on the 2007.5.

edit: Also re read the post I notice it mentions the same as I mention on the 2007.5 LMM not being an option. I wish I knew more about the BCM and how it is programmed. Sometimes I think a 2008 BCM with the options I have plus the UF3 added may make it work but who knows.
