block heater express van

anyone have a clue where the block heater wire might be on a 2006 duramax express van.
It doesnt seem to be where the book says it is, tied to the power steering lines on the drivers side.

its been almost 2 months and no replys.
I guess no-one has a block heater in a duramax express van.
Its getting close to winter and the heater might be needed when I visit my place in vermont.

Is it an option on the Express or standard? I will have to look and see if my van has one on the build sheet.

Its an option and I don't have it . I thought we might be lucky like the p/u s where everyone has it . It does look like an easy install on the passenger side.

That heater is also an option , while looking I didn't see one with that option , I did see a couple with the block heater.

I don't have the van but the wires were on the passenger side of my truck very tightely bound together. The service technitian found them for me before leaving the dealership. I am not sure I would have found it. The plug has a cap to protect the pins so that disguises it further.

Good luck.

I agree with 1lbz4me, look near the inner fender on the passenger's side of your rig. You will probably find it wrapped up and zip tied to the wiring harness about halfway down the inner fender itself.

I was under the impression that the diesel fueled heater was standard equipment on the vans. As for the electric block heater, it mount in a freeze plug hole on the passenger side just forward of the motor mount.
