Top kick 5500 truck has no power
The truck don't throw any code but is very low on power! We have check fuel pressure while pulling 23-24000psi, boost don't go over 15-16psi! If we old the brake and try to stall it the truck in drive the engine won't rev over 800 rpm! I try to remove the cat did not change anything! New air filter and fuel filter. Any idea? The stock exhaust brake on those truck is the turbo or they have a flapper?

just to let you know gm dealer truck specialist have been working on the truck for 48 hours now ... they try to change the turbo, egr, maf! they have take it to allison dealer they say the tranny is ok! no wonder i didn't find the trouble my self...!

48 hours of labor?? I hope you have warranty coverage if so.

Top kick 5500 truck has no power
No warranty on it... Anyway now they say that they didn't have found the trouble! They think it's a bent rod or cracked head! But the truck don't smoke or use prestone! I think it's a little bit hard to believe... The truck idle smooth and don't vibe at all!

Possible a bad torque converter.
Does it rev OK in Neutral-?

Ask Mike L about the converter-- I believe that is the problem.
