Injector Balance Rate
My 2007 LBZ dually is stock except for the PPE tuner set on level 3.
Would like your input on my "IBR", picture is just after a 40 mile trip and still in drive at idle. I am getting a P0087 code on heavy acceleration(getting on hwy) or while towing trailer on incline. Wondering if #1 and #3 are going bad? Did a search on DP, some say add lift pump, some say FPRV needs washers added under spring. Please throw me your .02, do one or both?

Those don't look bad at all, how many miles on the truck? Check the schrader valve under the black plastic cap, passenger front, fuel rail. If there is fuel around the valve dry it out, run the truck under the conditions that produce the code, then check the valve again, got fuel? Replace the schrader. Lift pump, FPRV shim, and replacing the rubber factory fuel line section on the drivers side near the firewall are all very common and necessary.

127,000+- miles
Okay, the truck has only 126,000 miles, just replace with new ac delco fuel filter within the last month.
Last night replaced rubber hoses before and after tank selector switch, and WOW they needed it!!! But still having stumbling problems. I will check the schrader valve tomorrow, just bought a lift pump and will install this weekend. If this doesn't help, I thinking of shimming or should I go with a race plug? I've been reading pro's and con's, but can't make up my mind.... Thanks for the help! Greg |

I would not go with a race plug for a truck I rely on, in the event of a pressure spike that fuel has to go somewhere, a plug will be the strongest point in the fuel system which means some other place will be weaker and probably a lot more expensive. At your mileage a lift pump is due for sure, the CP3 has been working hard for a long time sucking fuel from the tank. Not sure what hoses you replaced but the ones I was speaking of are in the OEM fuel line right up against the firewall.
