Check engine light on No code

My check engine light came on steady while on the last 2 hours of a 15 hour tow just after fueling up, and stayed on after a brief shut down to check things out. Had OnStar run a diagnostic and they found no problem. Today I ran the truck a short distance to the dealer (no light) and they found no stored codes. Anyone know what is with this? Stock truck,30k miles and seemed to run fine with light on.

I'm having the same problem. No codes stored. Did you even pinpoint the problem?

Onstar's remote diagnostic on the LBZ is nearly useless. I believe they can only read airbag codes and a few other safety system. They can't read anything related to ABS, EGR, or really anything engine related. It's not really even worth your time to ask them to read it.

You say you went to the dealer. Are you saying the dealer hooked up a code reader and couldn't even find a historical code stored?

I just had the same issue. Towing my RV to a college football game. 80 miles into the trip, light hills, 90 degrees. Light came on but no apparent problems. Dropped my trailer 45 miles later, made sevberal stops and when i went to Chevy the light was off. No codes found. Towing home today, 40 miles into the trip, light on. Stayed on until I stopped for fuel and it shut off. Gas cap was not loose.

Any Ideas? I'll run it by my local dealer to check again.

Tech II scan tool at dealer never found a stored code. Light came on pulling a grade with a 7k pound trailer load a few minutes after refueling with the engine running.

I took my truck to my local Chevy dealer where I have a GREAT service writer. I hooked up the Tech II and he easily found P2563 and P0108. This is MAP Sensor and Turbo Boost Sensor. I had to take to local GMC dealer since covered by factory warranty. Dropped off with code list this morning. They said it will be ready tomorrow and that the mechanic replaced "some part". I'll update when I get the repair order.

Got the truck back today. According to the repair order. they used bulletin PIP4629A, document ID 2323782. Replaced the turbo control solenoid valve (sticking). We'll see at the end of the month when I pull my RV again.
