EGR Clogged
Don't laugh, I honestly don't know, but ....If you don't block the EGR, what get's plugged up? I've never done this and at 78,000 miles the truck is running great. If you let it clog up, does that then block the EGR?

Doesnt treallty get blocked, but you have a 1/4" tick beat of fuel and soot in your itnake al the way to your valves.
If you havent blocked it yet, I wouldnt worry about it. Kinda like adding a shift kit to a 100k transmission.

At some point, IMHO, it will cause an issue. EGR valve wont work or some other problem and start giving ya codes. Ya might wanna think about taking your intake out and cleaning it...? Once clean, then block it and stick a "fingerstick" in it to stop the codes. That's what I would do...warranty or not..chances are good that a dealer's mechanics will never even notice the plate or the Fstick.
No doubt there is a DIY here on how to remove your intake...if not, then you could make one for us. ![]() stk
