Fuel primer button

Should the ful primer button be hard after sitting for 12 or so hours is it normal for it to take a pump or 2 to get hard again?

Has anyone ever heard of the Nicktane kit causing fuel priming or pressure issues? I am about to bolt mine on.

mine always started fine also.I'm just validating your observation.Mine was the same way after I did my first filter change. After it sat the button would soften up no matter how much I bleed the system after a filter change. If you pumped it or started it,it got hard again. After I installed the airdog pump it stays hard no matter how long it sits, thats why I said it must be a priming issue.

Not mine. Just fill the new Nicktane filter with diesel when you change it, and screw it on. I don't even have to prime after replacing the Nicktane filter, just fire it up and it runs perfectly. If you change both filters at the same time, do the Nicktane first, pre-filling it, then start and run a few minutes then change the OEM filter. Priming the OEM filter will take a few pumps of the button, but even less if you pre-fill it before installation. There have been no pressure or fuel related problems with my truck.
