Noise around 1200-1400 RPM, Buzzing sound.

Hello
I ended up getting a 06 LBZ with 71k over the weekend. Really like the truck, but I found an issue already.
Truck was parked all day untill about 6PM when I used it, turned off the radio and rolled down the windows just wanted to hear the engine. I noticed when accelerating that it would make a noise, I want to say like a buzzing noise. Well I noticed it was doing this noise through a certain RPM when accelerating and through shifts as it got to a certain RPM. I watched the gauge and the noise is made between 1200-1400 RPM, I think it does it at exactly 1300 RPM. I was just driving in town, when I drove through a parking lot I could hear the noise loudly or just driving around town if the RPM got around 1300 it would make the noise in any gear. And when it shifts from 3rd into 4th the RPM drops around 1300 so the noise is constant unless I accerlate or let off to avoid the noise.
I did a search and best info I could find is that some people mentiond checking the oil level, and thought maybe the exhaust could be cracked.
Sorry for the long story just trying to be a specfic as possilbe, sorry if it's newbie question too... I know someone's going to say it's just the turbo doing it's thing, lol but no it's the turbo noise.

Thanks in advance

are you sure its rpm and not speed related. There have been some issues with the rubber windshield trim seal up the sides of the windshield vibrating and causing a buzzing sound at the right speed.Especially if you have a bug shield. There is also a sensor with a fan right above the drivers head for the temp control that will buzz quite a bit at times.

Almost sounds like your describing turbo whine... I know your saying its not, but thats almost exactly where I hear mine start to spool. And its alot louder with the windows down, especially while in a parking lot b/c it bounces back off of all the cars.

It's not speed related because it will do it starting from first gear and up and just trhough that rpm rage of 1200-1400 RPM. Not the turbo I can hear the turbo doing it's own noise and then when I get to that RPM it makes the weird sound/ buzzing.

Thanks

Had a brand "F" truck that had a weird noise like that, just at certain rpm's, in each gear especially when taking off from a stop. Real loud metallic buzz that became a whine as rpm went up, changed sound and volume with gear shifts. Turned out to be a thrust bearing in the 4 speed O/D auto transmission. A rebuild solved the problem.

I hope this isn't your problem, maybe you may want to have it looked at. Those noises can be almost anything, relays, belts, idler pulleys, pumps, loose stuff, or nothing at all.

Drove the truck for about 15 miles, it was warmed up already. Only drove around town and could only do it in 3rd and 4th gear at around 1300 RPM, if I go under or over that RPM it stops. I don't know how to describe the noise, kind of like a buzz/rattaling sound. Also if I take my foot off the pedal the rpm drops under 1k and it makes the sound and goes away. I have a 1 month warranty from the delaership I bought it from and bought a GMPP $50 deductible, Im just going to use the GMPP.
Got a couple other concerns also.
I lifted the front of the truck and moved the trie's at 12 and 6 o clock and 12 and 3 o clock... No movement at 12 and 6 o clock but both tires move around at 12 and 3 o clock. What's wrong with the truck if it moves at 12 and 3, what do I tell the dealer? Sterring also has a rough feel at times when I turn it left. Also when I put the truck in reverse and then into park it rocks back and forth freely, not sure if thats normal. Sorry for the newb questions, just trying to learn as much as I can.
Thanks

Went to the delarship and they said it takes time for the GMPP warranty to be in effect, and thats why the dealerships give a one month warranty. And it'd be best to take it to them, and the noise could be anything, maybe from the gauges or even the turbo. But that if I don't take care of the problem it's neglence and could cause issue's.

I believe that the D-Max engine has a warrantyto 100,000 miles anyway-- of course it is $100 deductible.

Check this thread, sounds like the problem I had.

Chirp Update

The dealer fixed it by adding weights to the exhaust system because it was apprently a rattle in the system.
