No Limit Diesel and ATS

I wanted to let people know the type of business that No Limit Diesel is. I have a 2003 GMC with a Allison transmission from ATS in it. I travel all over the world and donít really have a home base. The transmission was installed in California and had numerous problems for the last 2 years. In fact I have had trouble with 3 replacements. ATS has been very good about working with me (At their cost) to resolve the issue. Being in the Chicago area they recommended Mark from No Limit Diesel. Mark and his staff pride their business on his customer satisfaction and word of mouth. No Limit Diesel knew I was a customer that was just passing through and they would likely never see me again. Mark took all the responsibility for making the work right and dealt with ATS to resolve all the issues. ATS sent a replacement transmission to No Limit diesel who replaced it and tested the vehicle. I was in a rush and needed the vehicle badly. While test driving the replacement transmission No Limit Diesel indicated they were not happy with it and although I needed it and they would likely never see me again they wanted to make things right and get another replacement. Again Mark and the staff of No Limit Diesel worked with ATS to make everything right. The new replacement transmission arrived. Mark injured his shoulder prior to its arrival. Knowing that I was on a strict schedule and would be flying in to pick up the truck, Mark managed to work through his injury to have the vehicle ready. The new transmission is in and works great. I picked the truck up and immediately drove 1275 miles with it. There are people and shops out there that talk service and integrity and Iím here to tell you Mark of No Limit Diesel and ATS have both. It would have been easy for No Limit Diesel to choose to not do any work in the first place or just as easy to send out a problematic transmission for someone else to deal with (Just as the original shop in California did). When someone takes the time to make things right when they donít have to and takes the type of pride that No Limit Diesel takes in their work it deserves being noted. After this experience I will be heading back the 1275 miles to get major motor work done. When you find a company and person that takes this much pride in their work, you need to tell people and need to return (However far away it is) to have work done. A very grateful thanks to ATS (Mike) and No Limit Diesel (Mark) for their efforts and a job well done.

Always good to hear about a good experience. Can you let us know what shop it was in California? If you would rather not post, send me a private message. Happy trails.

Good write up. I have ran ATS transmissions for about 6 years now. Mike ans Jason at ATS hve always taken care of me and did anything that was needed to keep my trans in tip top shape. Last year i raced on the same ATS trans all year making 900+ HP dyno pulls and several 11.2sec passes on street tires. It still feels strong but ill probably take it to them to get refreshed before i race in Arizona March 12th for the NHRDA Desert Diesel Nationals.

Glad you are pleased and got your truck working good. I see this is you're first post here. How did you find out about this great web-site?

The 03 is a five speed not a 6 speed. Glad they got it working for you. A little odd you joined just to post this. What else is done to your truck? Maybe fill out a sig.

I wouldn't make that quick of a judgement call. There are a lot of shops out there both good and bad and I've never heard of any issues that ATS has not resolved for a customer, they've been around since I was in high school taking shop class and shop teacher had a cummins built up by ATS. I'm out in Cali so not sure about service shops in other states but was wondering what tranny shop he went to in cali where he got sub par service. If you look at his pics he's a plated cali truck.

LA Dmax,
Good point, I just thought the original post read kind of like an infomercial however. If No Limit and ATS have taken the bull by the horns and fixed the issues, good for them!
