code p1711

popped this p1711 code while towing my 5th wheel.says pressure switch solenoid E ckt stuck closed.i cleared it but it came back a few miles down the road.only comes on when towing.shifting is ok.no change.talked with williams in saginaw mi says to change spin on and fluid.should be ok.it has 103k miles on it.EZ chip.i tow in level 1 only.am planning on heading out west into the mountains and hate to get stuck out in the middle of nowhere.am thinking of taking it to williams and having them replace this solenoid.and put in transynd while there.good idea or will i just be pi--ing my money away?thanks for any advice/info.

Sticking e-valves were common in the early Allisons. I'd have someone with experience clean out the valvebody and make sure the valve in the bore moves freely.
