Prodigy.

I love it. Easy to mount, easy to use and can be moved from one vehicle to another in less than 30 seconds.

About $100 on the web, about $150.00 at RV places. As far as I know, there is none better.

I second the Teconsha Prodigy controller. It's plug and play so that an electrical idiot like me can do it. ROB DOES NOT DO ELECTRICITY!

Prodigy and make sure you buy the pigtail for your truck when you get it. It's got both end connectors installed for plug and play.

For the money it's hard to beat the Prodigy or Jordan. Some are starting to look at the BrakeSmart, which sounds good, but at three times the price it would have to fetch the paper and make coffee to be in the running. I'll stick with my Prodigy.

It's fully electronic, but whether it uses digital or analog circuitry is beyond me. If "digital" is a synonym for "magic" then I think it must be. Although you can preset a certain amount of "lead braking" the amount of current it sends to the trailer's brakes after that is determined entirely by your rig's rate of decceleration. It's always right there, whether gliding to a smooth, gentle stop or hammering it to avoid the clown that just pulled out in front of me, the thing hasn't been wrong, yet.

I run 3 Hayes controllers in our different cars and trucks.

$47 and factory harness.

Soldier the wiring and just plug in.

Sunny,

The Prodigy is an electronic initerial brake controller with a digital readout of the voltage being sent to the trailer brakes. The amount of braking power can be adjusted as well as 3 levels of boost braking to ensure that larger trailers start stopping before the Tow vehicle does. This ensures that the trailer will track with the tow vehicle and not push the tow vehicle around or worse cause a jackknife situation. It's really not needed on larger Tow vehicles.

I usually don't push one product over another but this brake controller lives up to every expectation that has been advertized and more.
