good trailer locks

I am looking for a good fifth wheel hitch pin locks.

king pin head assembly lock.

gooseneck trailer lock and fifth wheel trailer lock when parked

Anyone have suggestions?

but do not know if that is for a fifth wheel or just a trailer

That is for a bumper pull.
The trailer tounge lock is a piece of junk. I have one cause it was their at the time. I got it cheap but it's a complete waste of money.
The small lock I also had, it quit within about 6 months.
The bigger one with 2 pins is for the draw bar to lock it into the hitch. Two pins for different sized holes in the draw bar.
Never had one of them. Probably going to get a locking bar at the least for my 6'x10' as it's light and could easily be taken even if locked to the ball.

I can't point you in the right direction, I would suggest a google search. But that is not what you need, and it's not worth the money.

This is one of the more common styles you'll find at RV dealers - the lock assemblies vary somewhat between models, but the general "style" remains the same:



These are moderate security. They'll stop a casual passer-by from making a split second decision to pinup to your trailer and yank it away..BUT, they're not bulletproof - it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that if someone is determined, this style of kingpin lock can be removed with some tools.

Now, if you want REAL security, assuming your trailer is parked in a bad area, go with a commercial kingpin lock like this:



Not so easily removed without a torch, at least.

And for the ultimate in protection, go with a style like this:



This style pretty much avoids a situation where anyone can forcefully hookup and attempt to break off the lock - it literally lifts the entire trailer up and over the hitch if someone attempts to hookup, and as you can see, you'd better come well prepared with tools, torches, saws etc etc if you want to forcefully remove it. In other words, they'll move on to another trailer.

I like those, do you have any suggestions for the fifth wheel hitch in the bed of my truck itself. The part that hooks to my bed on the rails? Also for one to keep the trailer lock locked so no one can disconnect the trailer?

If you've ever tried to lift the fifth wheel hitch itself you'll see why the theft possibilities are pretty low there - they pretty much need two people and if we're talking scrap metal thieves they're not going to go through the hassle of pulling pins and everything to remove it. If it's still a concern, a good strong cable lock strung through the hitch and under one of the rails bolted to the bed will secure it further.

As for securing the hitch against unlatching, that could be tougher. I think I've seen a few hitches where the safety latch also includes a hole where a lock could be installed - preventing the safety latch from being opened which is the first step of pulling the the hitch to the open position.

That said, you'd probably have to look around for these style hitches - it's certainly not a regular feature on most.

I laugh every time I see someone locking their pin. Has anyone ever heard of a fifth wheel getting stolen? Plus- if someone wants our fifth wheel bad enough they are going to get it no matter what.

You have insurance right? So just leave well enough alone.

On the brighter side- if you are lucky enough to have it stolen you can go get new, bigger, better...

I have 100+ of their Abloy padlocks. Had a few padlocks deformed, but not had one cut, YET. I had to cut one off, once. Took a good 15 minutes with a quickee saw, grinder, and torch to remove it.
The only thing to remember is to NOT use graphite lock lube. White lithium only.
