Turbo inlet manifold, intercooler tube ?

Was wondering if anybody has installed the aFe Turbo Inlet Manifold, or the aFe inter cooler tube, or Even both. Or even something similar from other manufactures.
Did it help in towing ? Fuel mileage ? and keep the egt's down.
Did it help in quicker spool up times. or any info on this would be great
THANKS

The LBZ has perhaps the best turbo mouthpiece of all the trucks, I wouldn't change it as it flows plenty well. Several of the site vendors here actually sell both hot and cold side intercooler tubes. Those who have used them have reported a bit lower EGT's while under load, and a little more turbo sound. I have no personal experience with any of these though.

Yeah the Mouthpiece itself will flow air pretty well. I know alot of people that run the AFE hotside pipe. Since you have an LBZ, I would look into All Seasons EGR Delete pipe, which should help with MPG's as well as towing.

couldn't really tell any difference with my hot side intercooler pipe. i guess it surely can't hurt anything. i guess it is up to you wether the small amount of gain is worth the price tag.

I installed a Banks Techni-Cooler three years ago, before either Banks or aFe offered their 3" intercooler tubes. The performance difference with the Techni-Cooler was noticeable -- better throttle response and less throttle required to maintain speed at all speeds. I didn't notice much difference in performance with the aFe intercooler tube but I didn't expect to. For me it was just a matter of getting the optimal setup. I've never towed anything and, since I don't put a lot of miles on the truck, my driving enjoyment is more important to me than maximizing fuel economy.

Rather than buying a 3" intercooler tube for the stock intercooler, I'd recommend applying that money towards a Banks Techni-Cooler (which may now include the Banks 3" intercooler tube).
