Edge and adjusting for tire size

I have an Edge Juice w/ Attitude for my 2005 LLY. One of the adjustments is setting the tire size. I run 235-85-16's which are ~31.7" in diameter. What number is the Edge looking for in this setting? It doesn't appear to be diameter because the default number is in the 2000's range. Could it be circumference? If so, how do I get that number from my known diameter? I tried downloading an owners manual of the web and it doesn't tell me anything. TIA

Checkout page 37 of the manual. It has a list of tire sizes and how to calculate it. Anyway my manual does. The measurement you are looking for is the circumference according to my manual. The following is copied from my manual:

The numbers on this screen represent the circumference of your tire. Adjust
the tire size by pressing the up/down arrow keys. The table below will help
you determine your wheel circumference by matching your tire size with the
sizes listed. For example, if your tire size is 285/ 65/ 18R, the value
(circumference) you enter into the Attitude is 2599.0. Another alternative is
to measure your tire’s circumference by marking your tire and rolling it one
complete revolution and measuring the distance then multiply the inches by
25.4 (i.e., 91.3 inches x 25.4 = 2319.0 mm).
Width Ratio Rim Circumference
215 75 16 2288.8 mm (select 2300)

Oh mine is the older Attitude monitor not the CS or CTS so I don't know if that makes a difference, but from your description of the number being in the 2000 range I would assume it is looking for the circumference.

Nope I looked for it. You might have to do the marking the tire and rolling it one revolution method.

If my math is right, I think I can take 31.7" x 3.14 x 25.4 = 2528mm

Yep I ended up with 2529mm using an online circumference calculator so I would say that sounds right. One millimeter won't make any difference
