Drive Shaft

I don't know if this is write place to post, but i twisted my rear drive shaft in half sunday night and was wondering if i should do a 1 piece rear drive shaft or get heavy two 2 piece shaft built? 2002 2500hd ccsb chevy 4x4. All opinions welcome.

Im guessing you had a 1 piece aluminum shaft? I would go with a 1 piece steel shaft. Anyone else have any opinions???

Just takin off from stop sign and it is factory two piece steel drive shaft.

I second that...never had an issue with mine...although the price is a little high. Seen a couple trucks break the welds off of the spring perches on the axle tube. Some good traction bars should help there.

Just built one for a guy, I went with 1480 u-joints, and 4" .093 wall steel tubing! Bought everything from Sadler Power train.

Sorry Ed, but wrong. Diff failures broke the shaft not shafts fault. Shafts still to this day have not failed on their own. It is the best option available still!
